Unlike humans, who can see a wide range of colors thanks to our three types of color receptors (cones) in our eyes, dolphins only have one type of cone: L-cones. This means they see the world in shades of gray, but don’t worry—this doesn’t slow them down at all!

So, while a dolphin might not appreciate a colorful sunset the way we do, it more than makes up for it with its other superpowers, like echolocation and amazing underwater agility!
